I am an Assistant Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), affiliated with the Intelligent Transportation and Internet of Things thrusts. I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in 2022.

My work lies at the intersection of multimodal learning and embodied intelligence. I study how agents interpret their surroundings, anticipate intent and motion, and make decisions, with applications in autonomous driving, aerial systems and robotics.

I lead OMEGA Lab, where we study omnimodal, multi-embodiment generalist agents.

Multimodal perception
Learning useful representations of objects and scenes from visual, geometric and other sensory information.
World models & behavior
Modeling physical dynamics, intent and motion to understand how environments and other agents may change.
Autonomous systems & agents
Connecting reasoning, planning and action in autonomous driving, aerial systems, robotics and digital workflows.
